Cartmel Cheeses sells (mostly!) British and Irish Farmhouse cheeses, alongside freshly baked bread and pies, chutneys and jams, biscuits and cakes. We celebrate raw milk and small batch production and will do our very best to guide our visitors along their cheese journey.

Our cheeses are generally from farms and cheesemakers in the UK, but we do have a handful from a little further afield. Our bestseller? A bit closer to home – Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire. We can be found on the corner of Unsworth’s Yard, opposite the gates to the Priory. Come and see us and enjoy a tasting platter in the yard, or take a bag full away with you.
