Proudly owned and operated by Karen and Martyn Farmer, Wall Nook cottages are nestled on the edge of the English Lake District, in a tranquil setting overlooking the medieval village of Cartmel.
The property was originally a working farm, dating back to the early 1700’s. As a traditional farm in the South Lakes, it would have farmed predominantly sheep and cattle.
Ideally situated in the heart of Cartmel village within walking distance of everything that Cartmel has to offer, the newly refurbished hotel has stuck to the traditional features and introduced modern facilities that make the hotel stand out amongst others in the area. The hotel consists of six large beautifully decorated rooms all of which have stunning en suite bathrooms. You will be greeted with a smile in this family run hotel and we will endeavour to meet and exceed your every need while you stay with us.
Cosy in Cartmel offers one bedroom holiday accommodation, an ideal retreat for couples in the popular Lakeland village of Cartmel. The flats are located in Tower House, a characterful 18th Century house in the centre of the village, just off the main square through the medieval arch.
The accommodation is literally steps away from traditional pubs, top class restaurants, and a wide variety of shops and outlets including the famous Village shop and Deli where you can buy the famous sticky toffee pudding.
Worship has been at the very heart of Priory life for centuries. Throughout history, people from all around the world have made pilgrimages to the Priory for prayer and worship, each with their own stories to tell. If you look close enough, marks and notches can be found where pilgrims have left their mark for others to discover. Exploring the Priory will uncover myths, legends and tales of the past, housed in the impressive building that stood all those years ago.
The Priory is open to everyone, and welcomes people from all walks of life to come and experience the church at work. The church wouldn’t be what it is today without the people behind it all, so come and meet the team and find out how they fit in to the Priory’s story.
