Sandy is secretary of the Guild of Cartmel Traders and for Cartmel she looks after the general PR, publicity, this website and leaflet copy writing and design.
Based at the nearby village of Barber Green in the Lake District National Park, Sandy is a local photographer specialising in animals in action. She works closely with Tracey Venter at Cartmel's Black Horses photographing people who come to ride or carriage drive on The Friesian Experience.
Sandy photographs many local events including Cartmel Show, Witherslack Horse Show and Cartmel Priory Magna Carta 2015.
As a freelance journalist, Sandy also writes features on homes & gardens, countryside issues and lifestyles for Lancashire Life magazine and the Westmorland Gazette newspaper and its associated niche products. She is also a designer and illustrator.

Greenbank Farm are now offering B&B accommodation in a new annex to the beautiful late 16th/early 17th century farmhouse. Greenbank Farm stands in 70 acres of grazing land interspersed with small areas of ancient woodland. Come and stay on our idylic organic farm, the original Simon Rogan's L’Enclume farm, supplying L’Enclume for over 9 years and a source of much of the inspiration behind his much acclaimed style of food, seasonal, local and organic.
The farm has one of the widest range of cultivated herbs, abundant wild herbs and lucious foragers delight hedgerows, and has been organic since 1995.
We have two luxury properties available. The cottage, nestling in our farm yard, and the loft which acccupies the second floor of our grade two listed farmhouse. Both have a 4 star rating, organic cotton sheets and wood burning stoves.
Seasonal produce available to visitors. Panoramic views, delightfull places to picnic and hideaway, the farm overlooks the Cartmel valley and Lakeland fells.
Howbarrow cottage and loft properties have been awarded Gold standard 2015 by www.green-tourism.com. Gold award is descibed as Inspirational and Outstanding. 1 of only 6 self catering properties in Cumbria to now hold this Gold standard.
